Our Class Rules Because We Have Rules

The only rule I set as the teacher is "Be kind". During the first few days of school, we discuss how all our actions have consequences. Then, we work as a class to develop a class constitution. This will break down the rules of the school/class and what they find as fair consequences for breaking each rule. This allows them to have a huge buy in to the classroom climate. This class constitution is backed up by our government style jobs we do in the class.
